The Republic of Aquitaine acts as a Non-State Sovereign Entity. The Republic of Aquitaine has the goals of promoting peace, prosperity, mutually positive economic growth, justice, and welfare for all of its citizens. The Republic of Aquitaine denounces warfare of any kind, anarchy, or para-military organization within any Sovereign State, country, city, commonwealth, colony, republic, or foreign domicile. The Republic of Aquitaine merely seeks its recognition as an NSE and an eventual peaceful return of its historic land by the government of the French Republic which is a semi-presidential system determined by the French Constitution of the fifth Republic. The Grand Duke hopes that other sovereign entities will recognise the peaceful demeanor of the NSE and its affirmations to exist peacefully without warfare, or insurrection of any kind and is prepared to recognise The Republic of Aquitaine.
The primary function of the NSE is strictly humanitarian aid functions; not any country related activities.

History
The 1st Knights Division was organized in the year of two thousand & nine by our leader (The Right Honourable, Baron Christopher Knight Lopez).
The 1st Knights Division brings with it massive resources from the political spectrum, financial spectrum, and business spectrum to apply towards the advancement of honour amongst our ranks. These resources originate from many dark hours of struggle, sharp decisions in difficult times, and evidence of performance. It is something not easily relinquished by our division.
Our division is committed to preserving honour, spiritual health, physical well being, and freedom to those that cannot afford to have advocates.
Our division is an exclusive class that is only reserved for no more than 100 men at arms. We yield to no tyrant in the face of oppression, and believe in courage despite unspeakable odds. True titles of Knighthood are issued by our Nation's leader Grand Duke Thomas II with recommendation of our leader. Annual duties are to be offered to the Grand Duke out of respect for our Nation's leader. Few are selected for membership, but those that obtain selection are treated as equals amongst a round table.
Political Mission
The 1st Knights Division supports the appointment of our Baron as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary as a representative to Sovereign Nations. The Republic of Aquitaine is currently promoting its status as a Non-State Sovereign Entity and has several Memorandums of Recognition being considered by United Nations Members. The 1st Knights Division holds Special Emissary positions within the Diplomatic Relations division of our governent. We seek global recognition and are petitioning for permenant observer status in the United Nations.

Moral Mission
It has been set forth by our leader, Baron Christopher Knight Lopez, that the position of defense can only be made by a people who have already built the defenses necessary to defend. In today's climate, it is our belief that wars are more commonly fought with the instrument of currency. The swords of today are found in the wealth pools of a few.
It is the division's belief that by enriching its members with the proper resources they not only obtain the defense mechanisms to protect themselves (and their families), but also the defense mechanisms necessary to help their fellow humans in what is just.
We are protectors for individuals who do not have those to protect, and are supporters of one another in difficult times.
More importantly we mark an extreme priority in our member knights achieving financial stability, financial freedom, education, and embarking on successful commerce related missions.
